About the Campaign |
|||
Through the Eternal Light Campaign, we are striving to ensure the future of Jewish learning and culture in the Farmington Valley for generations to come. By joining other leaders in pledging, you will provide the resources to provide educational, cultural, and religious programs. You will ensure that our congregation and our community can continue to be a welcoming light for worship, celebration, service, and learning. If you are concerned about the future of Judaism and the Jewish people, you can leave a legacy in your name to future generations of your family and community at FVJC. Over the last year, contributions totaled over $120,000 of committed funds. A special thank you to all the donors to the campaign thus far:
Part of our future plan is to continue to recognize the donors. Besides an annual event, there is also a written testimonial of the donors giving. The federation is sponsoring this write up. It is called “Voices of Philanthropy.” Please click here to read the Hecht’s Voices of Philanthropy story. Others will be added soon. The purpose is to be able to tell your personal story about giving. Why it is important to you, how has your Jewish upbringing influenced your tzedakah. I know I am looking forward to reading their stories in the Voices of Philanthropy. Also as part of the recognition we are going to have their names inscribed in a wonderful piece of artwork that will be placed in our vestibule. Thank you to all the committee members: Daryl Worobow, Jean Weigert, Eric Spungin, Stacie Rabinowitz, Rabbi Herman, and Kem Appell for their dedication and efforts in making the eternal light campaign a reality. If you would like to contribute or find out more about the Eternal Light Campaign, please contact Jeffrey Ratner at 675-1334. |
